WHAT IS AN API?
An API, or Application Programming Interface, is a set of rules and protocols that enable two software programs to communicate with each other. It defines the methods and data formats that developers can use to interact with a service or application, facilitating the integration of different functionalities.
In other words, this tool enables a computer program to access certain functions or data in another program, in a structured and standardized way, without having to understand the internal details of how it works. This facilitates the integration of different technologies and the creation of more complex applications using existing services.
In our case, TYREMOTION API uses an image of a wheel as input data, and outputs the vehicle make and model, the dimensions of the photographed tires and other technical data.
